Face

I need to tell You how I miss Your face,
How there is no other e’er could replace
You in the sanctuary of my heart,
You’re safe forever in that sacred place.

I’ve Loved You Sugar, from the very start,
When, over coffee, You simply stole my Heart
By being You in all Your radiance.
It aches that right now we’re apart

And beats with a strong, regular cadence,
that echoes loud through each long night’s silence.
It yearns for the next time my hand holds Yours,
And we bid loneliness a good riddance.

Vertical sentences

Vertical sentences

Plague of vertical sentences,
Litter every online forum
With solecistic instances,
Plague of vertical sentences,
Form and rhyme are mere absences.
Poets, please show some decorum,
Stop the vertical sentences,
Littering each poem forum.

Robin Williams,
Clown Prince and Bringer of Joy,
Suffered in silence.
Rest easy dear troubled man,
Thank You for the joy You gave.

Happy Birthday my Friend ..

David Garcia Forés

A Maestro of the Brush and of the Pen,
He sat alone and faced the empty page,
Then inspiration struck his mind just when
Old Edgar Allan Poe described the rage
Of he who is bewitched by Vulture’s eye,
The creeping horror of the Red Deaths Masque,
Of how one was undone by Black Cat’s cry,
And of the King who would not ever ask,
But ridiculed, belittled and then forced
His loyal servant to perform deeds foul.
So these macabre tales now writhed and coursed
Through David’s veins, his mind an anguished howl,
His pen a blur, his brush a flash, pages
Changed into a Wonder of the Ages.

Magick ~ Kwansaba #1

image

There’s magick in every book you touch,
A portal to another time or place,
A doorway to other worlds and dimensions,
Wielding his pen like a Wizard’s Wand
The Writer casts spells onto the paper,
And the Magick begins its precious work
When you open the cover and read.
