Blood Moon

image

Bathed am I in cold, vermilion fire,
A dissonant reflection of Thy heart,
Which pounds with the flames of passionate heat,
Sanguineous tresses framing a face
No man could gaze upon and be unchanged,
As I was redone, made afresh by Thee
And the conflagration Thee kindled and
Fan in the blood that courses through my veins,
Thou art the oxygen I need to survive,
Thou art in my blood, Thou art of my heart.
